getting attached to make up is not a good idea AT ALL, because it reflects something else-- it reflects that we are not confident without it.

In my opinion I think makeup does make you look good, but its true, it could also ruin your face and cause you to have wrinkles. But wearing mascara, eyeliner and blush is fine and it does make you look more beautiful, but I DO NOT recommend cover-up. Cover-up just ruins your skin and it gets you all messy. Having your natural skin is way better than wearing cover-up and I promise you on that, and when you do start to wear cover-up you could never stop wearing it, its like a drug lol. If you do choose to wear makeup, just add a Little blush and mascara and that would be all you need to look beautiful.
Okay lets see. Don't put makeup on so when your old you won't have that many wrinkles. But look like s*** your younger years so you'll have three less wrinkles when your old. I think it's so dumb when people try to makeup girls feel bad because they wear makeup. Not everyone has natural beauty. So it's easy to talk when they're not in that situation. Natural Isn't always the best way to go. Sometimes people offend women who wear makeup by saying you don't need it. It might sound like a compliment but really it's not. Obviously that person feels confident and happy when they're wearing makeup why do people want to go and upset them buy subconsciously telling them they look bad with makeup on.
The main important thing is taking care of your skin so it will be healthy and a person wont need alot of makeup to hide ';flaws';.
Girls look good in makeup but I think the trick is to make it look natural and use products that are healthy for your skin .
For instance: a tinted moisturizer, a little blush/bronzer to bring out a glow, and a neutral lipbalm on the lips and neautral eyeshadow with a little mascara to enhance the eyes .
But NOT wearing a mask of foundation, heaps of black eyeliner and bright eyeshadows , goops of liploss and lipstick , that just looks fake and not attractive at all.
Make-up will not do all this bad stuff, as long as you learn how to do it properly. Go to the mac counter, you get a free makeover if you buy something!
I don't know why people with acne don't try this, but steam opens your pores. (boil water, and have the steam hit all-over your face!) Then you clean you face with a clean towel. I get facials all the time, I know what they do to get rid of blackhead/whiteheads and pimples.
Most make-up lines now have spf in them, which can protect you from the sun. Your mom must have used ';cakey'; make-up, and that's why she won't let you. I reccommend MAC, yes I know they are a little expensive, but it is light, and will fix your problems.
Start of gently with eyeliner, mascara, and eyeshadow. See what she thinks. Then wear foundation for special occasions.
Bare minerals is probably the best idea.
It will not 'damage' your skin [which normal make up doesnt anyway, so long as you look after your skin properly and always remove it], it wont give you wrinkles or clog your pores because it is full of minerals and ingredients that a really good for your skin and will help it. Make up is meant to be fun, but it's become serious business for a lot of people. If you want to experiment with some then go for it. If you don't like it then wash it off and try again. Natural beauty is always best. I know it's hard to live by that rule because there's lots of pressure to be made up. Also, you always control how much you put on, so if you don't want to put on a full face of make up then maybe just put a little here or there.
A great way to look polished and pretty is to keep you brows groomed. Just take it slow so you don't overdue it. Have fun!
whatever you're comfortable with. wearing make-up is about what you think, really. if you think you look better natural than with a lot of make-up, then go right ahead and don't wear it. but if you don't feel comfortable with some part of your face (acne, or tiny eyelashes) then just use a bit to enhance your features, rather then cover them up. okay? after all, that's what make-up is about- enhancing your natural beauty. so just don't wear too much and you'll be fine and be sure its a good brand and not something cheap that will give you wrinkles or bad skin.

Sorry but i literally NEED my make-up. It will not damage your skin as long as you wash it off right when you get home. And NEVER sleep with make-up on.
If you're naturally pretty then don't wear it. But for someone like me, i look like a monster who just woke up. It's true that your pores WILL get oily if you wear foundation. If it gets oily, just cover it with powder or use oil-blotting sheets. IF you wipe your face, your make-up will just smear and smudge (which looks VERY bad).
Don't use skin make-up unless you have blemishes. Just a touch of mascara is good. Or eyeliner which i wear daily.
makeup....makeup artists even say if you have a perfect complexion you should still use foundation....it just evens out ur skin tone! and i love to enhance my eyes, definitely around the holiday too, you need some sparkle or something for people to say ';wow';!!
yes it can do all of those things if you paint your face on so to Speak. and some girls need make up really bad were i have little zits. plus its not that attractive to some guys when you first meet a girl without makeup
It really is a matter of preference.
Some girls prefer to not bother wearing make-up, and others feel comfortable wearing make-up.
As for me I prefer wearing some make-up (lip gloss and mascaraa) nothing really major.
Natural beauty is so much better than being made up very few women can pull this off they NEED makeup to cover up their imperfections
if you want to be as natural as possible just wear mascara, lip gloss, and blush. No foundation or concealer.
