How do you apply natural looking make-up?

i'm going shopping for new make-up soon and i was wondering what products i should buy for natural looking but flawless looking skin. the foundation i use at the moment can leave my skin looking dry, so i wanted a whole new change. what products do you think work well?

also is it best to use the same company for all your products?

if it helps at all, i have olive skin, the same as this:

all opinions appreciated, thanks =)How do you apply natural looking make-up?
heey,

ok firstly, i have the perfect thing for you, so that your skin no longer looks dry. it's a pre-foundation skin primer that goes on your skin before you have applied anything. it's designed so that all the other make up just glides on without leaving dry and flaky bits. i bought mine form napoleon perdis, and it's REALLy good and does it's job REALLY well...

i think just a moisturizer will work too, if you apply it before hand, but i prefer this product.

next...the foundation. i suggest you get a colour that suits your skin tone. usually people like to o for a shade lighter or a shade darker but it varies, depending on the person. most stores will have a sample where you can try and see it how it looks. don't be afraid to try. i use maybelline products mostly, but i do mix in others as well. it doesn't really matter that much.

next i use concealer (maybelline again) it's REALLY good. it covers pimples and stuff like taht REALLy well.

next i use powder foundation. mostly it's just over the concealer first, but then i out it evenly everywhere. i use napoleon perdis powder foundation.

next i use mosaic blush. i love the look it gives compared to just the pink blush. mine is more bronzy colours and i think that will suit you best since we have the same kind of skin tone. if you don't really get me, it's this kind:

mibes from napoleon perdis.

next i apply black eyeliner. not too much, just a little to highlight your eyes. i don't always use it though, it depends if i feel like it.

i think that's maybelline as well.

now for mascara...the one i use is calles masterpiecemax, by max factor. it's really good, but i like my lashes to be huge. it really seperates the lashes and adds volume and definition to your lashes.

lastly...lip gloss. i like to use watermelon lip balm from the body shop with clear lip gloss on top. it gives that natural look and it's great for your lips as well.

this might sound like A LOT but trust me, it won't look it.

it will give you a natural but flawless look.

also, napoleon perdis is generally VERY expensive, so don't stress if you can't get it. i'm sure you'll be able to find a similar product that does it's job.

sorry it's so long, lol...

hope this helps and good luck =)How do you apply natural looking make-up?
Sashii, I've found that products from the same line are designed to work together to give you the most desired effect and optimum results and that taking proper care of your skin first is of the utmost importance. I like/use the products at aularale.com/7002 - they're designed for people w/sensitive skin so anyone can use them w/great success. I also drink lots of water (6-8) glasses daily, eat fruits and veggies, and take a good vitamin/mineral supplement. Doing this will give you flawless skin so that foundation will be an option, not a necessity. BTW, the foundation at aularale.com/7002 matches the under tones in your skin so you get a perfect match and therefore, a more natural look.
as for foudation, I use Marcelle Rich Moisture liquid foundation with just a touch of powder in my t-zone. It's about $10. I use to use Lancome, but I couldn't afford it when I moved out of my parent's house. It's great though, but it was $40, and that was about 5 years ago.

and you need patience and practice. Natural make up is more difficult than it looks.

I know everyone swears by Bare Naturals and other mineral foundations, but trust me, if you have dry skin, stay away from powders, or if you have combination (dry with oily patches) like me, just add a touch. Spray a light mist of leave in conditioner instead, or maybe even spray gel or hairspray. It will act as a fixative.
Actually, it is best to use different products from different brands. For a natural look with great coverage try BareEscentuals. It works and isn't going to mess your skin up.

A blush is especially important for a healthy glow. Because your skin is medium, a bronzy-blush would probably be best. TRY Physician's Formula Powder Palette Multi-Colored Blush (it would probably be best to go to a store [most drugstores and Ulta stores] and find the right shade for you).
if you have small tight pores %26amp; clear skin

then sometimes, it doesn't matter what coverup you use

but you can ask wich mineral makeup is a good brand

i've never used it but i heard it makes you look natural

i think theres a brand called

bare escentuals

this is makeup i've used that i havn't had a problem with

- loreal true match

- maybelline dream matte / mousse

-covergirl clean makeup

i think for olive skin your supposed to wear yellow based coverup

if that doesn't turn out try the loreal true match NEUTRAL's

it will have a N3 on the top of the lid :)
you should try mineral power.

it works like foundation so it covers your face and makes it look flawless but its also a power so its very light on your skin wich looks natural. its also great for summer so your skin dusnt clog up wen u sweat. a great brand for this is loreal paris. the true match range is great and you should be able to pick one up for around $25 at a sale.

hope this helped =]

xx
if your looking for natural looking skin then your main priority will be getting the same colour foundation as your skin.

try revlon colourstay or L'oreal infallible they have the right amount of coverage to give you the flawless look you wont but wont look cakey

you dont have to use all the same company it depends on what you like and what each company has to offer

for a natural look all you need is some mascara ( i love l'oreal telescopic, it separates the lashes making them look natural) a little blush (pink and bronzer) and some lipgloss
natural looking makeup.

the one im using works a treat!

innoxa- satin sheen, natural finish makeup. SPF 30+

its so good, its not shiny, or super expenisive.

its natural looking, blends evenly.

for your skintone defintly pair with a reddish-pink blush
go to a cosmetics counter and have them do it for you. go outside in natural light to see how it looks and go from there. normally the cosmeticians at counters are good with application and suggetions for products
Here's a jessica alba style makeup tutorial

aww lucky!

u shouldnt spen heaps on makeup okay?

really buy anything thats affordable and looks as if it matches ur skin (which btw is a aweessomme colour)

usually natural means browns.

get a shadow that matches ur skin tone.

a shadow that is slightly darker.

a foundation that matches ur skin tone.

now for blush im not sure if ur into brown or pink. im pale so i always have a light peach. peach would work for you. coz u can always lightly bend it so it looks like ur happy. or no blush if u dont like that

eyeliner. hmm well if ur skins that colour.. ur hairs dark? or is naturally dark? well either black or brown eyeliner (pencil). and buy a cream or a white eyeliner pencil too

mineral powder. its heaps good it makes ur foundation not look so.. shiney

a sheer lipgloss nothing too.. BAM

and... thats it

mostly all my product r australis coz they r affortable and i love them =]

well basically put the foundation all over you skin. (including around your eyes (makes u look like u got 12hrs sleep)) put the blush on ur cheeks (smile and put it on the mounds or apples whatever ppl call them) then brush the mineral powder over the non blush parts. put a sheer lipgloss on

now get the skin toned shadow brush all over your eyelid to you eyebrow. now close one of ur eyes and u will see there r ceases on the outer corner and they r in the shape of '; %26gt; '; this kinda maybe a lil wider now if this was ur eye %26lt;%26gt; (closed) cover the right half in the darker shadow if u can get a shade thats darker again and put it on the very corner. now get a smudging brush and (refering back to %26lt;%26gt; again.) smudge the top right line.

open ur eyes curl ur lashes get as close to the roots then pinch the curler then go a mm or so up the lash then pinch and do this each mm or so and ull get a lovely curve. now pull the mascara wand up the lashes from the roots for best results. then kept doing this going up each time u pull the wand up. i use dior mascara (i was given it so its not coz i bought it) and its really really good. and after one pull u have full lashes

i really hope i helped coz i spent a while typing all that lol
