The best way to get your foundation to look natural is to master the foundation brush. This is an essential tool for all make-up artists and for good reason; it will give you a really flawless, blended result. You don鈥檛 need to spend a fortune on a brush, I suggest you visit a pharmacy and check out the QVS stand. QVS have a really extensive range of quality products at tiny prices 鈥?eg the Foundation Brush is only $12.95. With regard to other make-up, get yourself a palette of neutral colours such as bronzes with maybe a shade of white and use it to create natural eyes, and for lashes go for a brown mascara rather than black. For a great range of colours at low prices check out Maybelline at your supermarket. For lips, just a dab of gloss will finish your look.

brown mascara ( you should curl your lashes with a lash curler), pressed powder ( to get rid of excess oil and shine), blush ( for SOME color), neutral eyeshadow ( browns, golds, greens, gray is very classy) applied lightly, and tinted chap stick/gloss. Moisturize your skin. Apply your pressed powder. A sheer layer of eyeshadow and blush next. Mascara, and gloss. To take your makeup a step farther a line of black eyeliner to your upper lids (and your lower lids too for more formal events). Only things to not skimp on is your pressed powder ( since it's the main thing you need all day) and your mascara. For mascara I suggest Great Lash($5) from Maybelline since it gives lots of length to your lashes but doesn't make them brittle.I suggest wet n wild's lipstick ($1). i know it seems weird, but if you pick the right color it can be used for both blush AND lipstick. Just dab it on the apples of your cheeks and rub it evenly with a sponge or even your fingers before applying your pressed powder. If the color is too bright, you can add a light layer of pressed powder to subdue the color. A great investment is a stick of pure white eyeliner, (NYC $2). I use it as a base for eyeshadow. Apply it under a layer of eyeshadow and It keeps it in place all day, or line it on your bottom lids to make yourself appear refreshed/awake and wide-eyed. And last, A good lash curler shouldn't cost more than 2 bucks. Revlon offers the most naturally curled look.
Most of the time make up artists apply foundation with their fingertips but i dont like that so i use a foundation brush
