When I put make-up on it looks cakey. What can I do to make it look natural and smooth. I use bare minerals.?

Bare minerals is so overrated. Try the foundation stick from MAC and a pressed powder on top of that. When I put make-up on it looks cakey. What can I do to make it look natural and smooth. I use bare minerals.?
try a foundation primer. i user MAC. its wonderful and makes your skin super smooth! When I put make-up on it looks cakey. What can I do to make it look natural and smooth. I use bare minerals.?
Use moisrurizer before you put your foundation on, but make sure it dries first. Cause if the moisturizer is wet when you put your foundation on, your foundation sinks into your skin or something. Also make sure you put moisterizer on at night, too %26amp; drink like 8 glasses of water or whatever.
use bare minerals primer and or the rever upper
try to not use as much, and maybe tapp the brush a couple more times before applying
Use a foundation primer. Try Smashbox or MAC. Just make sure it dries first. And after you apply your foundation use MAC's Fix spray on top. Either spray it directly on your face or spray it on a makeup brush and apply.
If you are using the original Bare Escentuals, make sure your moisturizer is dry before applying anything else.
A few things that WILL help with Bare Minerals application. Make sure your moisturizer and or primer is dry. Take a tissue and press it to your cheeks (they absorb the product slowest) and if it sticks you need more drying time. If if falls to the ground your good to go!!! Second you may be using too much product. A very small amount goes a super long way!! With a clean lid and no product above the sifter close the jar and tap it three times with the back end of your brush. That is usually the perfect amount for the entire face NEVER dip your brush into the product it will pick up too much. Make sure you are really buffing the product into the skin. My motto with that is once you think you have buffed enough buff a bit more. Most of the time these quick fixes can solve the problems most have with a B.E. product. Hope it helped lady.
put moisturizer on and make sure you wait 5-10 minutes to let it dry before putting on makeup if you put it one right after maybe thats whats making it look cakey.
there is nothing that will look heavier than mac. and matte makeup will always look heavy. the key to looking smooth and natural is to use light reflectants and moisture. benefit has a primer called that gal that brightens and moonbeam will give you a fresh scrubbed look to your skin. also, their georgia finishing powder will take away shine without mattifying your skin.
use macs strobe cream..gives u that jlo dewy look
ive actually found that, applying your make-up like eye shadow and foundation looks much better when you use your fingers. so its not as heavy on it.

after you put make up on, take a tissue and gently rub a little off.
